Joe Dragovich took Chris Moeller's gorgeous cover and dressed her up very nicely indeed!
Check it out!
Like I said before--I can't wait to hold this lovely little book in my hands!

Shadowrun: Meet Ms. Johnson
In most Shadowrun games, the players interact with an NPC who represents a corporation. This gent normally goes by the generic name, "Mr. Johnson," but for Shadows of Mumbai, I thought I might turn this on its head a bit. Meet Ms. Johnson, the female Ork corporate liaison to the shadowrunners!
I have not decided her true name and background yet, but she will be a rep of the Tetrahedron Coporation based in Mumbai.
The figure comes from the classic Ral Partha Shadowrun line.

Chronoscope Thuggee
Painted up this Thuggee from Reaper's Chronoscope line over the weekend. I think he'll make a great Physical Adept for the Shadowrun "Shadows of Mumbai" game Andrew and I are planning to run.

Shadowrun: Troll Conversion
My buddy Sky did a masterful conversion of Reaper's Chronoscope Mega-Mutant into a Shadowrun Troll.
Appropriate Troll models are really tough to find for Shadowrun and Earthdawn as they possess a unique look.
I finally got some paint on this one, and I am stoked! One Troll Street Samurai, coming right up!
The only issue is that he might be a trifle small for an SR Troll, but he's certainly close enough!

Goalsystem Delves: The Basetarian Chronicles Continue

| Awesome Earth Elemental from Tenz' site. |
The slick terrain and excellent miniature work on the blog really help to affirm all of the hard work we've done to this point. Now as we enter the layout stage, I'm getting more and more excited about actually holding the "real" book in my hands.
We've got time yet, but the anticipation is building.
We'll keep you posted!
And thanks again, Tenz, for your great work!

Off The Shelf: Complete Kislevites
A while back I featured the start of a Mordheim Kislevite warband here. I did get around to finishing them, but never reported on it!
So spurred by reading some posts on LAF, here they are!

Blue Moon Alien Joins the Crew
I painted up one of the aliens from the Blue Moon Supreme Alien Commanders boxed set. I feel like this guy would be a great alien adviser to my Cobalt-1 crew.

Off the Shelf: Star Wars Miniatures Nautolan Soldier
A while back we did a bunch of skirmish gaming using WotC's Star Wars pre-painted miniatures. In some cases my buddy Sky and I re-based and re-painted small numbers of the figures to enhance their appearance.
Here's a few shots of a re-painted Nautolan Soldier:
I may do some future posts discussing other select minis from the old line and how they can be used in most any sci-fi or near-future setting.

Cobalt Space Merchant
Managed to block out some time to paint one of the Cobalt miniatures from my backlog. Cobalt figures are available from Black Hat Miniatures, and sculpted by Bob Naismith.
I did a weapon swap with one of the excellent pistols from Heresy Miniatures.
Here he is!

Suddenly, Shadowrun?
In between working on my own stuff for Delves, I like to play other games. I'm dabbling in the Sunday 40K campaign at Phantom, and I've always got my eye toward some sort of tabletop RPG action. Of late I've found myself going through my Shadowrun 4A rulebook--"SR 4A" means the 20th Anniversary edition of the 4th edition Shadowrun rules. I've been a fan of the game and its genre bash of fantasy and cyberpunk since it came out in 1989.
I've run 1E and 2E straight from the books, and run SR with GURPS and FUDGE. While I've played a couple of sessions of SR4, I've never run it, but the rules possess a clarity and consistency never before seen in a set of SR rules. So I am thinking of running a few games. We'll see.
Anyway, last night I wanted to paint something different, so I pulled from my backlog a female Ork runner from Ral Partha's old SR miniature line. One hour later, she was table-ready!
Now one of the recent issues with SR minis concerns finding appropriate Trolls and Orks that scale well with modern lines like Reaper's Chronoscope and others. The older Partha Trolls don't quite gel. The troll in the above pic is a conversion I did from a Mage Knight miniature. I blogged about him a while ago.
As I read the rules further I'll explore more miniature options as I find them. My collection of near-future/future minis is already so deep, that I really only need to focus on specialty minis like trolls.

Goalsystem Delves: The Basetarian Chronicles
Sometimes you meet folks online who remind you just why you got into doing this whole zany thing to begin with. Case in point: Tenz. This guy had approached me about play-testing weeks ago and I happily sent him a doc.
Well, little did I know he was beavering away on an amazing setup to play out his games in. You can check it out on his blog, Basement Motive, right here!
What an amazing project Tenz and his gaming group are undertaking, and they're using my rules!
I admit that at times my creative "powers" ebb, especially after a long haul like a 45 day Kickstarter with lots of ups and downs. It's folks like Tenz and his family that recharge my batteries and get me going again!
Thanks, folks! There's a copy of Goalsystem Delves with your name on it!

BattleTech: Nightsky
By this time any regular reader of this blog knows my preference for 'Mechs with all-energy profiles. Needing more Medium 'Mechs for my current merc unit, I was able to trade for a 50-ton Nightsky.
This gawky looking machine features a suite of lasers and a slick hatchet-like melee weapon. It's a Davion design that fits into the Hatchetman and Axeman family of 'Mechs.
Here are some shots of my paint job:

Goalsystem Delves: Funded!
Well, thanks to a lot of hard work on our end and a lot of support from the
gaming community, Delves is now funded!
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/222965736/goalsystem-delves-dungeon-skirmish\
-role-play
We're going to spend the next few weeks getting the rules ready for print,
collecting reward miniatures, painting reward terrain, and doing the other
business related to fulfilling all of our commitments.
Thanks to everyone who supported us, talked us up to friends, and sent positive
vibes our way!
Once all of the KS orders have been fulfilled, I will have the PDF up for sale
in the usual spots, and hard-copies available via an as yet undecided means.
Probably a simple PayPal transaction. We'll see.
Thanks, again!

BattleTech: The Brigands!
Continuing with my gray-scheme mercenary force (as yet unnamed), I've finished a pair of 25-ton Brigands. Another classic mercenary/Periphery design, the Brigand is made with many pirated parts, and features a pair of ER Medium Lasers and a pair of Medium Pulse Lasers.
Check out the pics!
Next up I'll work on the 100-ton Thunder Hawk to finish off the Command/Assault lance.

Goalsystem Delves: We Cracked the Goal!!!
With less than two days remaining, we have exceeded our $11,500 goal!
Now, Kickstarter can be a fickle beast, so we're not out of the woods yet, but this is very exciting news for us!
You can check out the project (and make a pledge ;-) right here.
Thanks to all those who've already helped us out! We will do our best to deliver a superior product!

Crossover Miniatures: The Shootist
Well, that's what I've taken to calling him. He's listed as Ka-Pow on Crossover's web site. These brilliant superhero miniatures mostly come with 3 head options, so you get a lot of flexibility with them.
This guy conjures images of DC's Deadshot and Marvel's Bullseye. All around, a great 28mm super miniature. Sculpted by the inimitable Soapy, the same fine fellow who did our Half-Orc Monk for the Delves KS, this figure's crisp details make him a dream to paint.
Here are some more shots of the Shootist (apologies to the Duke, but he could never have made this guy's outfit work!):
I'll do some proper SuperSystem stats on this guy when my head is cleared, but right now I was just happy to get some paint on him!
