MechWarrior Dark Age Re-Paint: Centurion

Just for something different I did a quick re-paint of a Wizkids MechWarrior DA Centurion 'Mech.

This one will go with the other stuff I've done in this style.

This might get me going working on RoboFire again, but whenever I finish a rule set (as I've just done with B&B), I go into a bit of a post-project malaise).

No matter what, it was fun to get this done!

Thanks for visiting!

Building A Street Scene--Ad Hoc Vehicles

I've been wondering if I can get away with using certain MechWarrior Dark Vehicles for 15mm sci-fi. I need some civilian type runabouts for the street scenes for the Blasters & Bulkheads interiors. I had this old MWDA hover tank sitting around, so I tore the cannon off of it and re-based it. Here's the result:

I imagine the pilots would scrunch up in either pod, or perhaps be in a supine position with a HUD to guide them.

The open "deck" in the center would be ideal for strapping down cargo, or even passengers for low-speed jaunts.

MechWarrior DarkAge Re-Paints II: Tundra Wolf

I've had my eye on this one for a while, and when I had a need for some of these plastics to re-paint for a bit of play-testing, I snatched this one up on eBay.

Same scheme as yesterday's Spider. These guys will form the core of a Merc unit. I put this big Mech on a 50mm base from GF9.

And here's a comp shot with some Ravager battle armor:

MechWarrior DarkAge Re-Paints!

I've been toying with my own 'Mech combat rules for Goalsystem. I decided to re-paint some MechWarrior DarkAge plastics to play-test with.

Today I'll show off the re-paint of a neat 4-legged, "Spider-Mech":

I re-based the model on a 45mm round from Gale Force-9. Great company--they'll custom cut any size bases for you in sturdy MDF.

Tomorrow I'll show off a heavy-hitting bipedal 'Mech!
