Dreadfleet: Comp Shots

As promised earlier this week, here are a couple of comp shots of the first two DF vessels I painted. Since completing these I have painted 6 more--just two left to go for Sunday! We'll see if I can do it! I'll try to take some pics Sunday.

Dreadfleet: The Black Kraken!

Leave it to the Chaos Dwarfs to provide what is for me the coolest piece in the Dreadfleet game--the Black Kraken! This mechanical squid can attack while submerged and wreak havoc on the enemy craft at the bowline. Looks good doing it, too.

Next post I'll show off a few comp shots of the Black Kraken and the Skabrus side by side.

Dreadfleet: The Skabrus!

I was lucky enough to be tasked with painting Phantom's store copy of Dreadfleet, so last night I knocked out the Skabrus, the Skaven ship that comes in the box. For those not in the know, Dreadfleet is Game Workshop's new limited edition boxed game. Hearkening back to their old Man'O'War days, DF offers a small scale naval game with all of the fantasy trimmings, and all in one tidy, fat box.

Anyway, the Skabrus is an undead leviathan crewed by some nasty undead Skaven!

Here's the pics!

Nothing fancy here, I simply followed the pics in the White Dwarf and tried to match them as best I could!

Anyway, I'll show off another vessel, my favorite, in my next post!
