More pulp action! It's the best not-Indiana Jones that I've seen so far in 28mm, from Old Glory's Blue Moon line. Sculpted once again by Bob Naisnith. I've seen (and have) the not-Indy sculpted by Mark Copplestone and, while I like it, I still think that this one is better. Bob Naismith hit it out of the park with this one!

Ugly Men With Sticks
In reading the wonderful Freeport sourcebook from Green Ronin, I realized that the various city watchmen amount to little more than men with lousy dispositions and big sticks. No halberds, no pikes, no fancy armor. Not these guys at all. Just ugly men with sticks.
Now where might I find a group of miniatures fitting that description?
Enter Old Glory's Revolting Peasant Mob packs again!

These minis certainly won't win any prizes for sculpting excellence, but they get the job done, and they're a breeze to paint. And my players love beating the crap out of them!
Thanks for visiting!

More OG Rioting Peasant Mobs
Last night we played Rico's D&D 4E Neverwinter game, and since my Half-Orc Ranger (Scout) has decided to support a local orphanage in the city, I decided to help the DM out by painting up some non-combatants for him to threaten.
Old Glory's Revolting Peasant Mobs provided some great additional characters to add to some of the fantasy civilians I've already had done for a while now. Their details are not sharp, but they look pretty good with some paint on them.

The two older ladies seen above will act as the "minders" of the Orphanage.

Although perhaps the woman above does a little something else on the side? Who knows!

This cabbage hurling lad will surely benefit from the positive influence of my Half-Orc's steady hand!

Like A Peasant Scorned...
I've sung the praises of Old Glory's Revolting Peasant Mob packs on this blog before, and I am here to do it again! Today I dug out another great figure from my Revolting Women and Children bag and painted her up with the intent to use her for the Dragon Age RPG, or any other fantasy game I intend to run.

And here is comp shot as she deals with a pushy City Guard Sergeant:

Later this weekend, more single RPG-style minis to show off!

Off The Shelf: OG Hussites!
I painted these guys a while back for a "someday" Vlad the Impaler army for Warhammer Historical. As you can see, I never got beyond six of them. I may re-visit the project one day, or at least make use of these guys in some kind of RPG.
OG's Vlad the Impaler range is one of their best (although I wish they had more pics on their site), and these figures take paint very well!

Old Glory Rioting Peasants
In my effort to add more role-play figures to my painted miniatures collection, I dug out a trio of OG's Revolting Peasant Mobs and gave them a quick paint job.
The sculpting on these figures is crude, but they take paint well and are super to fill out the populace of a town or village. They make great minions for the player characters to mow through.

At $35 for 30 figures, you can't beat the price!
