Warhammer 40,000: Skullhamma Konversion!

My local FLGS, Phantom of the Attic, is lucky enough to be partaking in the World's Largest Apocalypse game for Warhammer 40K. Folks who read this blog regularly likely know that I own a large Ork army, and so I decided to "freshen" it up with a new piece worthy of this really big game.

Looking through my Apocalypse rule book, I decided to convert an IG super-heavy into a Skullhamma Battle Fortress. I was able to trade some painted minis for an assembled IG super-heavy tank, and then the last few days I've gone over it with my collection of Ork bits to make a proper "konversion."

Here it is in its unpainted state:

Yes, that's Space Marine Razorback I'm using as the Big Gun turret. I needed some kind of "box" to house the big gun, and I saw a badly assembled Razorback in my FLGS' used mini bin, so I grabbed it and hacked it up! I've magnetized it to the Skullhamma hull so it rotates and comes off for easy storage.

I still have a number of minor details to add before I begin painting, but I'm getting there!

Thanks for visiting!

  3. If that thing is going to take the field for your Apocalypse game, then it's going to be a truly huge affair indeed. Good stuff!
