Reaper Bones Bathalian
I felt like painting a Bones mini yesterday, so I grabbed the one from the rack at the FLGS that most appealed to me--this guy!
So here he is!
Thanks for visiting!

P.S. I am moving house the next few days so my posts may be interrupted for a bit, but I will resume ASAP. We shall see!

Pulp Figures Raptor
I've had this model for years, just waiting to be painted. It's a lovely Bob Murch Saurian Predator from his wonderful Pulp Figures line. Last night I finally got some paint on him!
And as you can see, this figure works very well across 15mm and 28mm scales:

He'd make an ideal exotic Animal Companion for a D&D Druid. |
In 15mm he's a deadly menace to these DSG Colonists! |

Five Ghosts Delivers Amazing Art, Story
I don't do a lot of formal comic book reviews on this blog, but I picked up the first two issues of a new comic book from Image this weekend called Five Ghosts: The Haunting of Fabian Gray, and it is phenomenal! Easily the best new comic I've read since Abnett and Lanning were tearing it up on Guardians of the Galaxy.
Five Ghosts tells the tale of 1920's treasure hunter Fabian Gray, a man both literally and figuratively haunted by five amazing spirits and the knowledge that his deeds may have doomed his own sister. When things are at their most dire, Gray can call upon the powers and faculties of one of his five ghosts: the Detective (Sherlock Holmes), the Archer (Robin Hood), the Wizard (Merlin), the Samurai (Miyamoto Musashi), and the Vampire (Count Dracula). These spirits grant him supernatural abilities. He might remind longtime comic book readers of Marvel's Dominic Fortune, but mixed with a liberal dash of the occult.
Writer Frank Barbiere's solid story comes to life under the talented hands of amazing artist Chris Mooneyham. Mr. Mooneyham's pencils, inks, and colors suggest the supernatural dynamism of Mike Mignola, but with a touch of Howard Chaykin at the peek of his powers.
This five issue mini-series stands at two issues in, and with a recent reprint of issue one, should be readily available. While reading it I immediately thought that Fabian Gray would make the most awesome RPG or skirmish wargame character! Run, don't walk, to your nearest comic book store and snatch up copies of Five Ghosts, you will not be disappointed!

Tabletop Towns Card Terrain Arrives!
A while back I supported the Tabletop Towns kickstarter, and the other day my goodies arrived!
Check them out!
Ok, so each building is printed on sturdy card that you can fold up and store flat--lovely system!
As I consider running a big Pathfinder RPG campaign, these buildings will come in very handy for those grid-map battles where I want a 3D effect, and I will also use them for miniature wargaming the next chance I get. Great job and bravo to Tabletop Towns creator Julian G. Hicks! If you want support him and buy this cool card terrain, find him on his Facebook page here, and on eBay here.

Ghosts of Hefei: The Final Eleven Days
The Ghosts of Hefei Kickstarter has just 11 days to go! If you fancy some Goalsystem, dystopian sci-fi skirmish, please back us!
Joe D. has put together a great selection of miniatures in 15mm and 28mm, and we're working on a Goalsystem rule-set with some nifty new wrinkles.
Thanks for your support!

Awful Worm-Thing For 15mm
I acquired this creepy plastic slug-thing a while back, and I am not sure where! I think know he's from the old Privateer Press Monsterpocalypse game (thanks, Wouter!).
Anyway, he makes an ideal monster for 15mm sci-fi! Check it out!
I re-based him on a larger washer, and you can see from the above shot he'd make a formidable threat to standard, 15mm figures.

Star Wars Scarab Drone Re-Based for 15mm
Managed to get some time this weekend to re-base the Scarab Drone, and here it is!
This will indeed make an ideal combat or observation drone for whatever force chooses to invest in it!

Blue Moon Nova Patrol
I'd painted some Blue Moon Nova Patrol 15mm a while back, but never got around to basing them, so here they are after a quick basing job!
These figures remain some of the best 15mm sci-fi in Blue Moon's extensive catalog. They possess a real Pulpy feel that gives them plenty of character!

Ghosts of Hefei Developer Diary
Ghosts of Hefei lead developer Joe Dragovich has produced a super-slick video developer's diary that I wanted to share with you folks. I am working on the chargen section for Hefei right now, and Joe's video touches on one of the key attributes to a gang's ultimate success--Hacking.
Here is the link as well!
If you like a healthy dash of dystopian storytelling with your sci-fi skirmish, check out the Hefei KS and consider supporting us!

Blue Moon Tawanax vs. Khurasan Garn
Earlier this week a reader PM'ed me and asked that I do a post with photos directly comparing the scale of Khurasan's Garn and the Blue Tawanax. Nobody can say I don't do requests!
Here goes!

LotR Corsair of Umbar
I wanted to take a short break from 15mm sci-fi and just paint something completely different. I still have more than half a box of GW's Lord of the Rings 28mm Corsairs of Umbar remaining, so I dug one out and gave it a go!
Second only to the LotR Dwarves, I feel like the Corsairs are some of the finest plastic models GW has ever done. This guy will go very nicely with my Sinbad warband I did a while back. Check him out!
Now I need to retrieve my Sinbad and crew from storage, add this guy in, and play a game or two of something with them!

Ghosts of Hefei Kickstarter Launches!
Hey, folks! A new Goalsystem Kickstarter launched yesterday--Joe Dragovich and I are working on Ghosts of Hefei, a near-future gang fighting game set in the same world as Joe's successful The Department storytelling miniature battle game.
While Ghosts remains Joe's baby, he has asked me in to assist with some rules bits, and I am happy to jump in and lend a hand! You'll soon see that Joe's KS features a very tightly organized goal structure, and some amazing rewards. We're off to a great start, so if you dig Goalsystem and sci-fi skirmish games in general, check it out!

Star Wars Huge Crab Droid
I've had this piece for a while, and it's really one of the coolest things to come out of that ghastly trio of prequel movies. As a model, I believe it will work equally well in 15mm and 28mm. Anyway, here are some shots of it with some of my 15mm sci-fi figures.
