Overall, the quality on these is superlative. They come 3 to a pack for $20. The suits consist of legs and body, torso, right and left arms, and a separate weapon. I got the basic pack which includes all the same drum-fed anti-personnel weapon. Artcrime makes other variants with different load-outs.
Anyway, here is the first one done:
Here's comp shot with a Traveller 15mm sci-fi Space Pirate:
And here's one with a GZG space adventurer (aka, Race Bannon!):
And just for grins and giggles, here he is next to my recently painted Heavy Gear Mad Dog R:
The battlesuits came with plastic square bases, but I prefer round bases when I can manage it, so I put the Valkyrie on a 20mm washer. I went with a very limited palette and did some weathering to finish it off. In all, I love these little guys!
Nice going, ArtCrime!
Thanks for checking out the blog!

Yeah, these look great, and their upcoming infantry look sweet as well. 3 for $20 bucks is a tad steep, even for mini-combat walkers, but a metric ton cheaper than Heavy Gear so it all works out in the wash.
ReplyDeletePrice all depends on perspective. I think you can get a pair of Hunters for HG for $20, so you have to compare what you're getting, what you need, and the relative value of each.
ReplyDeleteThe Valkyrie's are nice little kits, but I agree that $20 may be a tad high too, now that I have seen them. Nonetheless, they're dynamite models and work really well for 15mm action.
