Notice that I corrected an issue with the assembly, the lower armor piece was glued on the outside when it should have been tucked under! Fixing this required a complete re-basing as I could not get to them any other way. We suffer for our art.

Very nice stuff Scott... very very nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteDo you have an actual formula you're using for these? I saw mention of the Dark Sepiea and Deneb Stone but anything else you'd like to share?
ReplyDeleteWell the primary color is Vallejo Dark Sea Blue. Everything is applied over a black primer. The silver metallic is Vallejo Gunmetal. The Dark Sea Blue basecoat gets highlighted with Dark Sea Blue mixed with Dehneb Stone, about a 60/40 mix of DSB/Dehneb Stone. You can do this in progressively lighter shades if you desire.
ReplyDeleteThe brassy metallic uses a basecoat of Vallejo Brass, followed by this coating of GW Calthan Brown, then an ink wash with Devlan Mud.
Hope this helps!
